COVID-19 Update 9-10-2020 (Continue Virtual Learning)

I hope everyone is healthy!

 

The school benchmarks dashboard was updated this morning and Pinal County has two green benchmarks (Positivity rate 3.1% and Hospital visits 2.6%), however the cases per 100,000 is in red with 106 per 100K in the August 16th reporting period and 87 per 100K in the August 23^rd reporting period.

 

Due to a benchmark in the red (substantial spread) our district will delay in-person learning until all benchmarks are in the moderate and/or minimal spread category – yellow/green.

 

We will review the data again next Thursday, September 17^th and follow our procedure for determining when we can return to in-person learning.  The earliest date for in-person learning will be September 28^th (if benchmarks are met on September 17^th we would being in-person learning on September 28^th).

 

We are disappointed that we will not be able to welcome students to our schools, however we will continue to provide virtual learning until the data determines we can return to in-person learning.
