MCOB District Procedure - Return to In-Person Learning
MCOB District Procedure for Returning to In-Person Instruction
Review metrics/benchmarks for Pinal County or District area each Thursday when released by AZDHS
Determine if the three (3) metrics/benchmarks are Red, Yellow, Green
- Any metrics in Red – continue virtual learning
- All 3 metrics Yellow or Green – consider an increase of students served with on-site supervision
- All Green metrics – open for in-person learning
When the benchmarks are all Green; we will open for instruction 10 days after meeting the benchmarks, this gives the district one week to confirm transportation needs/plans, make all final preparations for mitigation strategies on campus, and parents/students to adjust schedules to in-person learning.
Example - All benchmarks are Green - Pinal County or District area (if available) on September 3rd, in-person learning begins September 14th.
*Please note, when in-person learning begins, virtual/distance learning will stop. It is not feasible for the MCOB District, due to school size and available staff to provide in-person learning and virtual learning concurrently. Students not attending in-person learning will be disenrolled from the MCOB District.
**Parents that know they will select long-term distance learning for their student may want to consider enrolling in a school or district that is able to offer that option.
