COVID-10 Update May 18th, 2020
While this is not a typical May celebration to the end of a successful school year, we do celebrate the accomplishments and successes of our students, families, and staff!
We continue to monitor the situation very closely and are in regular communication with Pinal County Public Health Department, Arizona Department of Health Services, and Arizona Department of Education. Our goal is to ensure our school community is up to date with ongoing district initiatives regarding Coronavirus COVID-19.
- Summer School will not be held this summer.
- Meals will continue to be provided on the current schedule and locations through June 25th.
- Current plans are to begin the 2020-2021 school year following the adopted calendar (August 3rd - 1st day of classes), discussions and planning are underway as to how to best follow Health and Safety Guidelines and recommendations.
- If any families are considering not returning to our district schools, please communicate with your principal.
Additionally, we would like to share with you some guidelines that have been provided by Public Health:
- Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds- if soap and water are not available please use alcohol-based hand sanitizer
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth with unwashed hands
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Stay home when you are sick
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue
- Clean, and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
We understand that this is a unique time for our families, students and staff and we appreciate the support of our community as we continue to communicate information and updates as they become available.
