Update March 16, 2020 1:30 p.m.
Our goal is to ensure our school community is up to date with ongoing district initiatives regarding Coronavirus COVID-19.
We continue to monitor the situation very closely and are in regular communication with Pinal County Public Health Department, Arizona Department of Health Services, and Arizona Department of Education.
We are making plans to provide school meals and learning opportunities for the students of our district starting next week. Please complete the School Closure Survey ASAP so that we can refine our plans and communicate them to you by Friday, March 20th.

Our staff continue to promote good health practices, as outlined by Pinal County Public Health Department. Custodial staff have been instructed to use proper disinfectants and ensure all high transfer areas (door handles, light switches, drinking fountains, etc.) are being cleaned and sanitized daily. In addition to daily cleaning practices, we will also be performing a deep cleaning during spring break..
Additionally, we would like to share with you some guidelines that have been provided by Public Health:
- Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds- if soap and water are not available please use alcohol-based hand sanitizer
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth with unwashed hands
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Stay home when you are sick
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue
- Clean, and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
We understand that this is a unique time for our families, students and staff and we appreciate the support of our community as we continue to communicate information and updates as they become available.
Sincerely,
Marty Bassett, Superintendent
